Come and Gone.
We have survived. Air Force One, landed at Sky Harbor in Phoenix, just before 6 PM last night. It did not cause a panic like it did a few weeks ago in New York City, although there were a lot of us who could care less about the President coming here. For the 22 minute speech, it could have been done a lot easier and less expensive by staying in Washington and having a Closed Circuit Video Feed. It might have been better for those in the ASU stadium, they might have been able to see him. From the pictures I have seen, there were no large screens situated around for the audience to see the stage. And that stadium is big. Those on stage would be very small for a good 75% of the people. Air Force One took off around 10 and things went back to normal. The streets that had been closed were re opened, and we all could carry on as we normally do.
