Keep it in the Neighborhood.

On Wednesday, Karen and I were out in front of our house as two teenagers walked by the house.

I yelled out at them to come over and talk with me.  They responded and came so we could carry on a conversation.

I asked if they were interested in working in my front yard racking up pine needles and spraying the weeds that had grown through the rocks.  I got an answer from one,  “YES”.

Turns out he lives two doors down and liked the idea of working in the yard.  We reached agreement on price and today, Saturday he was here and ready at 9 AM.

Here it is 1 PM, and the work is all done and our front yard is now looking like it’s kept up.  Not the mess it had turned into with my pain in the back months.

After he had completed the job, and we were talking about up keep in the weeks and months ahead.  Matt, that’s his name, said that he past the house each day and would keep his eyes out for weeds and if he saw one he’d pull it out.

Now that’s service and it’s right here in our neighborhood.
