Middle of July.
Found out last night that it’s going to be at least another 15 days before we get our kitchen back. Does anybody know of an rv for sale ? My thought is, with an RV parked in our driveway, I’d at least be able to have a working kitchen to prepare the few meals that Karen allows me to fix.
I didn’t realize how much of our daily life centered around the kitchen. But it does, things that you don’t even think about. Being able to get cold water from the refrigerator. Wash of plated, glasses, forks, spoons, and the like. Having a dishwasher.
I MISS THEM!!!!!
Food for thought.
I came across this last night and thought you might want to see it. I have been hearing these rumors since the early days of Obama’s campaign for the White House, and to the best of my knowledge he has never answered any of these questions.
I had forgotten about it.
Our patio has turned into an storage area while they are in the process of rebuilding our kitchen where we had found a water leak.
I went out this morning, and there to my surprise was a leather Briefcase . I vaguely remember putting it out there, but that was some time ago. It’s from the days when I lived and was working in Florida. Considering that I have not put it in a box or ever covered it up, it’s in great shape. It’s not that it’s been exposed to the occupational rain, it’s been under the Patio cover next to the back wall of the house with a large box sitting on top of it. So I guess you could say it has been Protected.
Same token, I had completely forgotten about it.
Door Frame Gone.
Early this morning there was a knock on our front door and it was a plumber to remove our Hot Water Heater so that New Dry Wall can be put in our kitchen.
As soon as he started tearing out the door frame, so that he could get the Hot Water Heater out, I thought this would be a good time to take an Orlando Vacation . Our Hot Water Heater is now resting in our living room.
I knew that it wouldn’t be long before they would be making even more noise cutting the dry wall to fit. I know, I can turn off my hearing aids, so the level would be at a minimum….but really a vacation sounds like fun…Rebuilding the kitchen or not.

If you have followed my blogs, here and on www.normradio.com, you know that I have been battling a weight problem.
I have brought it down a great deal in the past few years, lately though, I find my weight is up one week, only to be down the next.
Phentermine, would most likely work. I however have found something as effective, at least in my book, having the kitchen sink spring a leak and have the counters torn out, leaving absolutely no place to prepare a meal.
There isn’t even enough room to make a Peanut Butter Sandwich.
I wonder if I could live on bags of Potato Chips….?

Old Movies
We’re right in the middle of seasons I guess on TV.
Some of our favorite shows are over, gone, complete, never to be seen again except in reruns.
There have been a couple new shows that we have stumbled on, maybe one, possibly two that we have liked, but not like several of the ones that have ended their run.
So, we have been watching, just at night, normally we don’t start watching TV until 7 or 8 o’clock, we have been watching movies from the 40s.
It doesn’t even bother us that they’re in Black and White, not in HD, nor in 16.9. The photography is good. The Acting is good. The story lines are good.
One thing I have noticed is that the women are fully clothed.
Not once were they wearing just lingerie .
Just remember, I’m talking about movies from the 40s.
I’m well aware that the trend in Hollywood changed shortly there after and in the latest movies we have seen, don’t think that it’s gone back to the “Good Old Days.”
I like weekends.
Another happy weekend in the Seeley household.
Yesterday, we got up early in anticipation of a crew from church coming over to clean out our back yard. I refer to it as the JUNGLE. The weeds back there have almost taken over. When Miss Ellie, one of our cats goes back there, we lose sight of her, the weeds are so tall.
Anyway, the crew didn’t get here and is scheduled to be here next Saturday. But Karen and I just had a great day, spending it together and here at home quietly talking with each other and watching movies from the 40s on TV.
Didn’t think for a minute about Home Insurance, Car Insurance, or even term life insurance quotes. Those all are under control and have been for several years.
Today, we went to church and after the service staid for a Pot Luck Luncheon. We had BBQ chicken, and I could see the two BBQ grills just outside the door to the Family Rooms of our church. Good BBQ.
Yes, there were all the other things that make a gathering like that tasty to say the least. Our table was made up of people we knew but had not talked to so it was fun to talk and get to know them a little better.
Karen had fun. I had fun. So much, that on our way home, I told Karen I’ll like to do that again. That made her happy, and that’s why I’m here.
