First Time.

Something happened yesterday that got me thinking I need to  make sure my life insurance is payed up.

Now what happened was not life threatening, but makes me wonder if I am losing it.

I was working on the interview for another blog, Amateur Radio Dreaming, and had reached the end.  It was only then that I realized I had not started the recorder within my computer.

I have had over 35 years of experience on the air, on the radio and on Television both before and behind the camera.

I have done thousands of interviews, you name them, I have talked to them, and I have even done interviews with people you wouldn’t have known before the interview and wouldn’t have known who they were after.  But I did the interview.

But last night I forgot to start the computer program recording.  At the end of the first interview I had to ask, ” Can we do that Again?”   Luckily for me the person said yes.

They, who ever they is, say that the mind is first to go.

I almost don’t remember Paychecks.

I more or less “retired” in 2005.

But it had been many years before that that I had collected a paycheck from a place of employment.  I had spent at least most of the last 10 years up to 2005 working for myself and not really paying myself.

I did have employees and their paychecks came first.  Now that I think about it, never missed a paycheck for my employees.

I know when I was working in radio here in Phoenix, I knew of a couple of my fellow employees who took advantage of  Payday Advances.  I don’t remember that I ever did.

Even today, I’m not rolling in money, but I do take pains in making sure that we stay within our budget.  Yes I know it doesn’t always work out just the way we plan, but I am also good at putting off or moving bills around and “getting away with it.”

Hooked on the Internet.

I have been one of those people who at first didn’t believe in computers, thought it would be a passing fad.  But then I bought one, and I found the Internet, and I was hooked.  And hooked Big Time.

What I like about it is first it’s an easy way to keep in touch with people, friends.  It’s also a place where if you need to find information, you can do it and do it quick.

You can also stay up on health needs and new products.  If you’re having trouble with face acne, it doesn’t take long at all to get what you want.  In fact if you click on face acne above, that’s exactly what you will get.

Lesson Number One.

Today, I feel like I want to be a teacher….show and tell you just what you have to do and how to remove dark circles under eyes.

Before I do that, I think that it’s important that you know a little bit about your instructor for today.

I never finished college.

I never took any classes about circles under eyes.

I never taught in a classroom.  Oh yes I did….I taught broadcasting in the Ron Bailey School of Broadcast here in Phoenix.  Long ago.  Almost forgot.

So now you know who today’s teacher is.

Take your seats and let’s begin.

More of Denver.

I have to tell you it was great to be able to eat anything I wanted while growing up.  I also liked growing up in Denver and every once in a while heading off into the Rocky  Mountains to spend a weekend and go fishing.

It’s been so long.   Miss the weekends of fishing.  Miss being able to eat any think or as much as I want.

But I have to be thankful for the fact that I don’t really have to “diet”, like so many out there.  But they are lucky in the fact that there are products such as alli available.

Life this days, when you stop to think what is there, how things have changed and for the most part have gotten so much better, I for one, have no desire to go back there, even in my dreams.

Denver

Something on Face book yesterday took my thoughts back to growing up in Denver and how it was like to be a teenager. I was tall, skinny, could eat anything I wanted, and wasn’t concerned with finding an acne treatment .

As I remember those days, I did notice those with acne, and thinking that my mind is playing tricks on me these days, the only people I remember with “acne Problems” were a couple of girls in my school classes.

That’s got to be wrong, or maybe my mind wants me to stay focused on today and not think about the girls of the past.

Her Car was Totaled.

Last night on face book a friend posted that someone had turned left right in front of her and totaled her  car.

Within minutes of her posting there were at least a dozen comments back, and all but one asked “do you have auto insurance ?”

Out of those 12 responses there was only one that asked how she was.  I had not responded at that point and I sat in front of my computer and wonder….were those people more concerned about her car, than her?

My response was simple; ” What about you?”

If I had the Chance.

If I had the chance, actually if I had the money, I would go out and buy my wife diamonds.

When I look at her I see a beauty that is like a diamond.  There is a sparkle that I see even when the lights are off in the room.    When she smiles it too lights up the room in my eyes.

I know that there have been songs written about such things, but until Karen came into my life, I never was blessed with living in a song and actually feeling that way.

I hope you can understand how I feel.  I have been blessed with feeling this way since January 23rd, 1999.

Can’t Stop once I start.

Is there something you do that once you have started it, you just continue no matter what is happening around you.

I find that I really enjoy typing posts for my blogs.  I have three of them.  I have with one decided that rather than type each post, I’m going to use an audio or video post.  I guess that still would mean I would need to write out s script.

But typing posts to me is fun, no matter what the subject.  I can type about my life on the radio, the Ford Motor Company, Reese Peanut butter Cups, my family, politics, pretty women, TV shows, cookies and crackers, Hot Dogs,  the best diet pills, my favorite movie, this year, my favorite move, from the past, Colorado, Nevada, Florida, Arizona.  My Daughter, my wife, and Oh Yes…My Self.

I don’t smoke.

I have never smoked.    NEVER!

I have never even thought of buying a pack of cigarettes.   Not once.

I come from a household where my father smoked.  At least a pack a day, maybe more.   I never asked him for a cigarette.  He never offered me one.

But, I have to tell you when I lived in Las Vegas, and was working as the News Director for KENO AM and FM, every once in awhile, I would get an urge to have a cigar.  Yes that’s right, pass on cigarettes, but every once in awhile, I would go down to the store and buy some cigars.

Today, it would be even easier to get hold of cao cigars .

I remember how happy I was, how good it felt to have a cigar, but once I left Las Vegas, the urge didn’t follow me to Florida or back here to Arizona.
