Here it is with only a few hours remaining hours left for today, December 31, 2010.

When Midnight comes, 2010 is over and the decade will also come to an end.

To be honest, neither has a real effect on me.  I’m not upset about the end of another year or decade.  I do however look forward to tomorrow.

Many good things have happened this year, many bad things as well.

I’m happy where I am in life and with whom I’m with.

Subject = Hospitals.

While we’re on the subject of Hospitals, considering that my wife spent 3 days and had surgery in the hospital that is in downtown Scottsdale.

Maybe now would be a good time to suggest colon cleansing, which just might keep you from going to a hospital.

I try my best to stay away from foods that bother me, and I know which ones do and done, and for that I consider myself lucky.  I image there are a lot of people who eat any thing put in front of them and it takes it’s tool.

I learned years ago there are somethings I can eat, and some I can’t and I stay away from them.

Out of the Hospital.

My wife Karen was in the Hospital last week.  That’s right she was there on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day as well.  She came home, Sunday night, December 26, 2010

The nursing staff was so nice to her, while she was there.  I don’t mean to leave out anyone, the aides too where top notch.  That must be  some duty going through medical job listings to keep a facility like that staffed all the time.

Gifts…

I wonder if I should consider a pair of womens sandals for my wife?

Karen is in a wheelchair and has for a couple of years note even worn shoes.  I don’t remember what made us decide that she wouldn’t wear shoes, but a pair of socks is the daily get up.

And she has more socks than most and it’s almost a different pair for each day of the week, and it would take close to 3 weeks, 7 days each, before we’d have to start over.

Home at Last.

My sweet wife Karen got home from the Hospital shortly before 5 tonight.

It’s so nice to have her home.

Christmas 2010

This year’s Christmas  has been different.  This is the first Christmas since 1999 that Karen and I have not been together.

Let me clarify that.  She is in the hospital and had surgery yesterday morning.  She was told that if she felt like it, she could come home yesterday, but she did not feel like coming home.

I spent most of yesterday at the hospital learning how to fall asleep in surgical waiting rooms.  Also how to fill them up when there is no one but yourself there.  Both I found that I was pretty good at.  Didn’t have to work at it very much.  Just be myself.

Christmas Eve alone, without Karen was do able, but not much fun.  Easier for me, without the pain that she had, but not fun.

I do feel blessed though, Karen was with me in my heart as I know I was with her.

Merry Christmas.

I like Fridays.

Even though I’m retired, there is still a fondness in my heart for Fridays.  The work-a-day week is over.

I was talking with a couple of other retirees and before I knew it, the discussion had turned to Blue Advantage Insurance .

I actually stayed out of the discussion, and here simply is the reason why.  I have all ready taken care of all my insurance.  Home, Auto, Life, Health.

Reason:  My father couldn’t purchase insurance  , so he grilled into me at a very young age…get insurance and do it when you are young.

Did so Dad.  Long ago.

In front of my keyboard again, thinking about my high school days and a couple of fellow students that I would have loved to have recommended that they use some best acne products .

I have heard that there is going to be a reunion some time this coming summer for my high school class.

Last August I attended a reunion, but it had nothing to do with High Education.    Not at all it was all about Rock-n-Rock as it was for a Rock radios station here in Phoenix out of the 60s.

Needed Addition.

We have a Patio in our back yard and the way I think something that is needed is wind chimes .

My Fathers hide away in the mountains about an hour outside of Denver had them on the cabins and I always used to love to hear them when the wine would come up.  What I liked was that the wind did not have to be gale force to add such a pleasing sound to the cabin both inside and out.

There is no reason that adding one to our patio wouldn’t do the same here.

Addition to Our House.

I have this dream that I would like to add on to our house here in Scottsdale.  I want to replace our bedroom with a larger one that would be in what is the back yard now, and have only one entrance door way going into the bedroom itself, a large walk in closet, and of course a bathroom that would have a bathroom sink for my wife, and one for me.

This is not an new idea for me, it’s been in my head for several years, yet I have yet to put it down on paper.  Maybe the reason I don’t go that far, is I and realistic enough to understand that such a project would require money.

While we have enough, that’s about all.
