Husband!

My wife Karen and I have been married for 12 plus years.

Not only is she fun to be with, but she is the person I go to when I need to find out what something is, like Mineral Makeup .  I wasn’t aware of what it was.

You might be surprised but I did wear makeup when I was in Las Vegas.  Stop right there, you’re going in the wrong direction with your thoughts.  I wore it when I was the anchor on the 6 and 10 PM newscasts on the ABC Television affiliate there.

The color cameras being used needed help to make a person look natural so each night I would put on a little “foundation”, so that I would look NATURAL.

It would have helped Out.

Thinking about when I had a video production business, and how megameeting web conferencing software would have been very helpful.

It seemed that I had more clients who were not here in Arizona and being able to discuss with them their needs and desires prior to the actual shot would have been very helpful.

I usually had a pretty good idea of what they wanted and needed, but being able to see and talk to them on my computer,  would have impressed the client in the first place, and made our conversations just a little more personal.

Outdoors

What I would like to have on our Patio is an outdoor fire pit.

No question the day time temperatures are on the hot side, and the nighttime temps are not exactly low, but Arizona is a great place to spend time out of doors and the patio in our back yard is a great place to be especially during the Fall and Winter months.

More today than Years ago.

It seems that every where I go these days, I’m seeing more people who smoke.  Doesn’t matter where we go, outside the buildings there appears to be men and women lighting up.

I have never smoked.   Most likely never well. I just hope that those people are aware of  where to get life insurance for smokers.

Like so many things in our lives these days, life insurance is a very important part.   That’s my opinion.

Uniform

With all the visits I have been making to the Doctors office lately, I have started to think that I would like wearing  medical uniforms around the house.  They just look comfortable.  And I like to be comfortable.  No question about that.

Guess it boils down to finding discount medical uniforms and finding the right size and picking out the color or colors that I would like and putting in an order.

Not only could I wear them around the house, but I could wear them where ever Karen and I went here in the Metro Phoenix area.   Maybe people would come up to me and greet me, ” Hi Dr. Norm!”

Norm’s Legs

I am having the veins in my legs worked on to improve the blood flow.  It’s easy enough, and I have no complaints about the medical procedures at all.  I have noticed that the muscles in my legs, and it really might just be in my head, seem to be stiff and walking sometimes is a job for me.

Maybe I should get back to walking every day, maybe even increasing the time and distance of those daily walks.  Or look on line for a  yok3d review and take that route.

It was fun back in Camp.

I remember that I enjoyed Archery when I attended Cheley Colorado Camps up in Estes Park, Colorado.

Since then I have met several hunters who don’t use Guns, but have some of the best looking archery supplies you can imagine.

While at Cheley I was limited to the Archery Range there in the Rocky Mountains,  but we were told about how the bow and arrows could be use while hunting.

All Brick

We live in an all Brick Building.  I don’t remember living in a metal building .  Then again maybe I did during High School.

Our house was build in the early 60s here in Scottsdale, not far from Downtown or Old Town Scottsdale.  It’s interesting as the original design was with a swamp cooler and despite the fact that there are two layers of brick, there is no insulation.

Since moving into the house we have added some insulation in the attic, and upgraded the windows from single pane to dual pain to help keep down the power bills.  But from what we are told, there isn’t much that can be done with the brick walls to the house.

There in my Desk Drawer.

I was looking through the drawers in my desk yesterday, and found several Christmas Cards from my grand pa and grand ma back in 1962.

In those days I was attending the University of Denver and taking Business Administration and Radio TV and at the same time working on a radio station.  If my memory serves me correctly I had just gone from my very first broadcasting job to my second, let go because I didn’t have a required FCC license and the first station I was with needed an engineer as well as a DJ.

I know it was too long before I mad another job change to the number one rock station in Denver, KIMN .    Even with the changes in job, I stayed at DU.

Patio

Several years ago we added a Covered Patio to the back of our house.  Here in Arizona it’s known to get pretty hot during the summer months.  I have to tell you that I have found that even with high temperatures, we do spend time out there on the patio.  It does have two fans and they do help.  But I’m surprise that it’s not really that bad.

As it works out there are more months available for us to use the patio than just the summer months.  Maybe I should consider looking at outdoor fireplaces at an end to the patio.  I’m sure it would add to the usability.
