American Flag
When I was in the Arizona Highway Patrol as a Reserve Office, I had a pin of the American Flag. I will have to look and see if I still have it. Back then, not only did I wear it on my Patrol Uniform, but when I wore a suit, it was pined to my lapel.
It would be fun to design a couple lapel pins custom and wear them when my wife and I go out.
Took a minute away from the computer and sure enough I still have my American Flag pin.
Reunion last year.
I missed the reunion of my High School that was held last summer. I believe that next one is in 50 years. At this point I’m not too concerned about making plans to attend it either.
Back when I graduated in 1961, I don’t remember other than a yearbook, that there were class rings high school .
Where the year book is, I have no idea.
Neighbor’s Pool
I was talking with our neighbor the other day and he was telling me that he was having trouble with his pool heater.
I suggested that he look into one from raypak .
We don’t have a pool but several of our friends do and that name has come up before and it’s been positive comments.
Stay tuned, I will let you know what he does, it he does anything.
More than one.
When I moved into this house there was the address on a post that holds up the carport. I moved it to the beam that is above the carport as I thought it was easier to see there.
Lately I have come to the conclusion that I should look into decorative address plaques, maybe to add above the mailbox that is next to our front door.
What I need.
With as much time as I spend on my computer, I need a cherry keyboard .
What I have works. It is the keyboard that came with the computer and I have no real complaints but then again, there is so much out there in the way of Keyboards and I’m sure that designs have changed and are easier on the person who spends hour after hour typing away.
Keep Telling Myself.
I keep telling myself that I should put together a shop here at the house. I certainly have the room to have one, and just think of all the fun I could have building “Stuff” and fixing things around the house.
I’m sure that one of the tools I would need would be an adjustable spanner wrench.
Not being much of a tool person, maybe I should find someone who is into that kind of stuff and ask for guidance.
Easter.
I remember Eater as a kid, in part spending time in Church and then coming home to find kids Easter baskets hidden in our house there in Denver.
Now that was a long time ago, but just the other day, in fact Easter Sunday my wife Karen and I were remembering how each Easter until she passed away a couple years ago, my Mother would always bring us an Easter Basket.
It’s nice to have such loving memories.
Anytime.
We received a gift of a Easter lily last week and it reminded me that anytime is a good time to send flowers .
Our Easter Lily didn’t have any flowers when it came but the next day when we came into our dinning room, the flowers had opened up and it was so pretty just to look at. It brought smiles to both our faces.
Truly a wonderful addition to our house.
New Clothes
As I continue to loss weight, I have noticed that I’m starting to “swim” in all of my shirts. I should look at getting some funny shirts to add to shirts
Most of the shirts that I have are at least a couple of years old, and there are a few that show the wear, but most other that the fact that they are a little too large, don’t show wear at all and I feel comfortable in them.
There are those several that I have notice I feel like I’m swimming in them and I tend to not wear them at all.
It’s time for something new.
