Life is so different.

It wasn’t until shortly before I moved to this house that I had access to the internet. My first computer is long gone, but it worked well for me the 4 or 5 years I had it.
Other than maybe once ever other day going on line to AOL, and doing my accounting, I didn’t spend that much time using the computer. Not that I do these days, but it’s more than back then.
I like the Internet as it opens up so much that wasn’t available back then. You can even find cigar auction sites .
I go on line at least once a day, still do my personal and small business accounting, check my facebook account, and follow the latest in Amateur Radio.
Last Coke
Yesterday on one of my blogs I commented on the fact that I was drinking my last 12 oz can of Coke.
I have always been a big fan of Coke, since my days growing up in Denver. My parents tried to limit the number of bottles (back then) I could have, but to be honest, I found ways to work around them.
If it wasn’t easy for me to give up Cokes and eating fating foods, I would be quick to look on the Internet for alli review if I were going to start a D I E T.
Norm’s Last Coke.
I am sitting here, looking at the last Coca Cole can that I have here in the house. It’s red and white, has 12 OZ of that wonderful beverage that I just love so much.
I want to lose some weight.
I mention this to a friend yesterday and he suggested that he knew of weight loss pills that work .
My answer to him, was that I believed him, but before going to his pills, I would use Norm’s don’t drink Coke plan. It has worked for me every single time I stop drinking cokes on a daily basis. Now that means not cutting one can from my daily routine, but a minimum of 3 or 4.
You count of the calories that that alone eliminates from my intake.
Thinking about it.
A new year, and We are thinking that we might apply for a credit card with a different bank.
Every once in a while, it doesn’t hurt to look around at the services provided by the banks, local and National and compare one against the other. Several years ago we were surprised to find out that the bank we were then with was really hitting us hard with fees and monthly charges and that a change would bring our costs monthly down to zero.
So, we made the change. Now I’m looking to see if I can do it again.
I just want to make and receive calls.

While I do find very interesting what is available at HTC desire HD , as long as I can make and receive calls when away from the house/office, that’s fine for me.
It would be different if I was not retired, if there was a job that I was doing that took me out and away from the office and I needed to keep in touch with that said office. Or had to keep in contact, using not just voice with my clients or fellow workers.
But that’s not the case. I have a fun, happy, but OH so simple life. For that I’m very thankful.
Lesson Number One.

Today, I feel like I want to be a teacher….show and tell you just what you have to do and how to remove dark circles under eyes.
Before I do that, I think that it’s important that you know a little bit about your instructor for today.
I never finished college.
I never took any classes about circles under eyes.
I never taught in a classroom. Oh yes I did….I taught broadcasting in the Ron Bailey School of Broadcast here in Phoenix. Long ago. Almost forgot.
So now you know who today’s teacher is.
Take your seats and let’s begin.
KRUX ReUnion !
In just 11 days, there is going to be a reunion of the DJs from the 60s and 70s on the Number One Rock Radio Station, here in Phoenix, KRUX.
I remember those days because it was one of the best jobs I held during my broadcast career.
I’m looking forward to the Public Event that is going to be held in the Auditorium at the Main Scottsdale Public Library, which is next to the Scottsdale Stadium on August 28TH, starting at 1PM. For me it’s going to be fun to see some of the other announcers who I worked with over 45 years ago.
They have always got there hands out for More.
Let me get right to the point, no matter whether they are holding office in a city government, one in a state government, or in our Federal Government, it sure seems to me, the one thing that you can always count on is that they will always be asking for more of our money.
This week alone I have been asked to pay close to a Thousand Dollars just to attend a party for an individual running for state office.
A few moments ago I received an email asking me to donate to the Arizona Governor and the states fight against the Federal Government over SB 1070. I support SB1070 but just where am I going to come up with money, as Federal Taxes are soon to go up, State taxes have already gone up, our utilities are holding steady but will soon go up thanks to cap and tax. Even though I have done every thing I can to make our house more “Green” and use less water and power.
Oh let me not forget that there has been a cut in the medicare payments that I paid for every year I was employed beginning back in 1966 trough 2005 when I had to retire. But now when I’m eligible for the program I paid into, the payments are being cut.
I’m not happy with those in Government, left or right. The left under Obama want to bring this country down. The right, I’m still trying to figure that out, but I know that their welfare comes long before the American Taxpayers.
If I have to pay taxes, I will grumble, but I will pay them, ask for any thing else, Karen’s first, then ME……Put you hand back in your pocket.
Something that works.
If you have followed my blogs, here and on www.normradio.com, you know that I have been battling a weight problem.
I have brought it down a great deal in the past few years, lately though, I find my weight is up one week, only to be down the next.
Phentermine, would most likely work. I however have found something as effective, at least in my book, having the kitchen sink spring a leak and have the counters torn out, leaving absolutely no place to prepare a meal.
There isn’t even enough room to make a Peanut Butter Sandwich.
I wonder if I could live on bags of Potato Chips….?
I like weekends.
Another happy weekend in the Seeley household.
Yesterday, we got up early in anticipation of a crew from church coming over to clean out our back yard. I refer to it as the JUNGLE. The weeds back there have almost taken over. When Miss Ellie, one of our cats goes back there, we lose sight of her, the weeds are so tall.
Anyway, the crew didn’t get here and is scheduled to be here next Saturday. But Karen and I just had a great day, spending it together and here at home quietly talking with each other and watching movies from the 40s on TV.
Didn’t think for a minute about Home Insurance, Car Insurance, or even term life insurance quotes. Those all are under control and have been for several years.
Today, we went to church and after the service staid for a Pot Luck Luncheon. We had BBQ chicken, and I could see the two BBQ grills just outside the door to the Family Rooms of our church. Good BBQ.
Yes, there were all the other things that make a gathering like that tasty to say the least. Our table was made up of people we knew but had not talked to so it was fun to talk and get to know them a little better.
Karen had fun. I had fun. So much, that on our way home, I told Karen I’ll like to do that again. That made her happy, and that’s why I’m here.
