Scottsdale Palms in the Morning.
Each morning, I attempt to take a walk to the end of our block, we live about a third of the way down from the Stop Sign that is at the end of the street where we live in Scottsdale.
I goal each morning it to hit the Stop Sign and return home.
Yes, that’s not much of a goal, but for me, it’s a start and I have plans to increase the length of my walk when I feel I have this aced. That might be a few weeks or maybe a month or maybe even longer. I’m in no hurry.
One of the nice things about this walk is I get to enjoy a little of the Arizona beauty that surrounds us.

Chaparral Park

Pictures of Scottsdale Arizona
Just before Christmas last year, we decided that we wanted pictures of ourselves to send out for Christmas. I myself don’t remember it they were just to be sent out or included in our Christmas Cards.
Rather than go to a studio and have professional pictures of us taken, we thought we could go down the street a little ways, take our tripod and camera that puts out some pretty good digital pictures if I do say so myself and use them to send out.
While at the park, we took at least 30 pictures of the two of us with different backgrounds.
With Smiles.
Without Smiles.
Her Smiling, Me Not.
Me Smiling, her Not.
And there were even a couple where we both looked presentable. Worth sending out to at least our family and a couple of friends.
When that was done, I took some pictures of the park itself. In one of the pictures you can see Camelback Mountain in the background.
Arizona, more particular Scottsdale, Arizona, is a great place to take pictures and have you picture taken.

I’m thankful that We live in America.
We are blessed that we have had men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect this country from those who would destroy it.
Today is a day to honor them.
It is also a day that we have spent enjoying all that America and Arizona has to offer.
We sat out in our front yard and sat under the 50 foot Pine Tree that graces our front yard. Despite the fact that there was an Arizona Sun and temperatures in the high 80s, under the shade of that tree, it was comfortable. Just a slight breeze help too.
It was fun to watch the birds fly in and out of the tree and one in particular going to a nest there in the branches.

America is a great country.
Has been for over 200 years. Thanks to those we honor today, Memorial Day.
Dark Clouds over Scottsdale.
The view from the back of our house is that of Dark Clouds.
Makes you think it’s going to rain?
Well, if you are inside looking out one might get that thought. However, if you go outside your thoughts about rain quickly go away.
Why? Cause the temperature is still in the 90s. It’ doesn’t feel cool or even cold, it’s more like just plain hot.
The clouds might say, rain is coming, but one’s body says no way today.

Saturday Morning.
This morning, Saturday, I spent some time uploading pictures to Facebook.
I have been using Picasa 3 and they have a way to quickly make a collage. I suppose what I should do is show you one that I have made and put on Facebook. then you could see how cool it comes out.
I have had this on Norm’s Notes before but just a single shot. Both have there value but the collage, seems to add a little something.
What do you think?

Arizona Bug.
Found this fellow on the wall outsige our front door.
Close to us.
The picture shows the score board at Scottsdale Stadium. It’s not far from our house and we went there today to see the Annual Desert Dog Regional, K-9 Trials. This is the 3rd year that we have gone to see them. It’s not predictable and very interesting to watch.
Flowers in the Front Yard
