It’s not that far off.
I just noticed that Halloween is not that far off. I think it was last year that Karen and I were invited to a Halloween Party, costumes and all at a friends house. No, it wasn’t at their house but at a local restaurant that had what I will call “Party Room”.
It was fun. Now that I think about it, it’s the first such Halloween Party I have been to.
We went as ourselves….Fat Boy and Gimp Girl. This year if we get invited again, I’m going to look for adult costumes.
Maybe I can find something that well make me look my age. Lord knows I don’t act it.
Back to Denver…AGAIN.
Even though I have not been back to Denver for at least 25 years, I go back at least once a week. In my mind. It’s quick, easy, and cheap.
Last night I was once again in the neighbor’s back yard, on my knees playing in her pond that had koi in it. I wasn’t playing with the fish, but with a submarine that I had built and I painted it so it would blend in with the bottom of the pond. I don’t think that back then she took advantage of koi pond supplies , but she should have.
The pond, although I found it fun to take my subs to, after spending hours painting them to match the dark, dark gray and greens in the bottom of the pond, had no pumps to circulate the water, just a 6 foot across round pond in a corner near the house.
Sometimes after playing with my sub, I would take it out and just sit there and watch the Koi swim around not bothered by my small Navy.
Still Waiting
On 5/28/2010 we discovered water on the floor in the hall way just outside the door leading to the Hot Water Heater.
Well it wasn’t long before we uncovered that it was not a problem with the Hot Water Heater itself, but a pipe that was in the wall behind the kitchen sink and it had a gaping hole in it, and water was pouring out.
Within about an hour we had a crew on sight, setting up not one dehumidifier, but several to take the built up moisture out of the walls and cabinets. After several days, they were removed and the walls were more like normal but the cabinets had to be taken out and replaced.
Today we were to have a new vinyl floor put in, but there was a problem with the order and the wrong vinyl was brought out. So no new floor.
That will have to wait until the 17Th. Luckily, it’s August 17Th, not September 17Th.
That might get me a little angry.
Still waiting for the New Floor.
Waiting for the new floor to be installed in our Kitchen, has kept me in the mood for redesigning everything in our house. Inside and Out.
While I have been happy with the blinds, (shades) but as I look around I would sure like to take a peak at discount shades to see if there is something I would like.
It wouldn’t hurt to look.

Love new stuff.
I love new stuff. But, I have yet to take the leap and purchase a laptop. Why? I really can’t tell you, just haven’t even gone and looked at them in the store. I see them being used all the time, no matter where we go. And I’m sure that I would have a use for one. I would also insists on looking into a laptop warranty.
That’s just the kinda of person I am.
End of the Week.
I wonder if there are books available that tell one how to deal with a Kitchen that has been torn up and all the food stuff and utensils in boxes.
I for one would have purchased one back on 5/28, that’s when we discovered a leak behind the kitchen sink Beginning the reconstruction of the kitchen cabinets.
This is the first time, that I remember being without a kitchen for so long. It’ has been an experience, some not so good, but we survived and it’s exciting as we start to use what a new kitchen.
Crazy Thoughts
Today, the old cabinets from the Kitchen are being torn out. The new one have been sitting on our patio since yesterday, and I have to tell you they look good. I can’t wait until they are installed.
Right this minute there are boxes and bags all over the living room and dinning room with the stuff that was in the cabinets in the kitchen. Leaving little room for me to even sit down in a chair up there.
So what do I do? Well with a reunion for KRUX coming up at the end of August, and the fact that I was told that the High School I went to here in Arizona is planning something for later in the year, I have been thinking about those years.
As a teenager, I had a few years that I was “blessed” with acne. I know back then I used what I thought was the best acne cleanser and cleaned it right up. Today, my skin is what I would call “average”. Not bad for a 6’4″, 275 lbs, almost 67 year old former Radio/Television Announcer.
